I could tell my customers how to reach the schedule time of delivery of works, the critical activities during the construction and the relation of advance of construction vs down payments. With this software I could present all my projects in the construction industry, such as the construction of the guard house and the garbage room for a building. Programming construction works never been easier It would be nice if someday they could add more flexibility of changing the colors of the gantt bar. But, nevertheless what I do I put the project title at the footer line instead. I think a project header title is missing.
So far as I have been constantly using this product for a number of years now. Our company is oriented towards open-source softwares and previously we were using TaskJuggler2.3.1 which has also powerful but has it's own learning curve issues. This is the one of the amazing features for an open-source product. Also, the printing capabilities, wherein you can adjust the timeline scale and paper size formats. Am running ProjectLibre on a Linux computer and it is really the best alternative out there in the market to Microsoft Projects. It can be installed on a Windows and Linux computer. What's amazing about this product is that it is a multi-platform product. But this product, ProjectLibre has been a very useful tool in getting things done in the office. "ProjectLibre" does have it's short comings but nearly at par with other similar softwares.Īs I have been using this almost everyday, the demand for changing schedules dates frequently can be a drag. For very large project duration, wok flow seems hard to navigate and is confusing for if small modules are majority. Some features are hard to find as not much categoried where it should be, but once you practise you get used to it. One of the most useful feature is it automatically creates gantt chart, work flow and other plots from the details you prpvide while scheduling and this saves much of your time,especially for management department. One can shift the whole time line back and forth if the project dealine is extended while still maintaining the order of modules that are to be attended. In simple words, keeps you informed that what portion of work you completed vs what should have been completed to deliver product on time. Lets you keep track of your work after you schedule task durations. It has mamy features that are alluring to be chosen by the developer team. The tool lets you schedule your project in interesting way. There are few flaws but scheduling is not always accurate too so it can be negleted. Scheduling and keeping track of project is important and ProjectLibre does the job very well and accurately.
